Hot Air?

We all went to the gym this morning which somehow made me late for the class I love to take. Billy is not much help getting the girls ready so it was mostly on me. He didn’t want to eat breakfast and I knew when we left the gym he’d be starving. Of course he suggests we get a burger but I said no. I don’t want to bust my ass at the gym and then go fill up on shit food. Sorry. He got bent out of shape of course but I won I guess and we came home and had a healthy lunch here.

I was going through my list of blogs I read and stumbled upon one that links to this astrology site. It’s interesting. Here’s what it says about my marital relationship. I’m the Aries and he’s the Gemini.

Interesting. I don’t know that I make him creative at all. I do tend to anger him with some of my words. I speak in a quiet tone and he will erupt in a loud voice and claim I yelled at him. I do not yell. I would say I’m fairly soft-spoken; however, my words can bite.

Likewise, Geminis will fascinate you with their endless discussions and wacky sense of humour. You love a good laugh, and Geminis will give you that. In fact, they are also very zany, and love the odd prank or two. You’ll gladly join in the fun and add your own cheekiness to the mix.

Hmm. Wacky? Ha! Sometimes we are both silly and we will laugh over stupid stuff. But I wouldn’t say he has a wacky sense of humor.

Be careful not to tire out a Gemini, though. Geminis are ruled by Mercury, which means they live on their nerves — they don’t have your physical staying power, though they do have mental resilience. So go easy on them physically, at least until they learn to keep up with your hectic schedule.

This is a bit ironic. Billy’s job is very physically strenuous. I don’t know if he doesn’t have my “staying power” but he is wiped after work understandably. I don’t do too much of anything you could call “strenuous” though I have been exercising a lot. It’s still not more than two hours a day where he is at work more than eight.

If you are considering a long-term partnership with a Gemini, remember that this combination, as fiery and exciting as it is, has a few drawbacks as well. The constant on-the-go vibe of Aries and the changeable, stop-start quality of Gemini can be an uneasy mix, to say the least.

Well, I’d say we’re long-term in the “till death do us part” sense. I did marry him for life and I do intend to honor that. I am the on-the-go person more so than he is. He’s more of a homebody. I crave excitement and entertainment and interaction with others. Billy seems to crave quiet and lots of solo time.

Both of you are constantly on the go, because you both hanker after new experiences. So you are both likely to be doing a multitude of things simultaneously. With so much energy coming from both sides, can the two of you really settle down? Your multi-tasking lifestyles may make it difficult to achieve the stability that a serious and committed relationship requires.

Eh. Wrong answer here. Billy’s on the go because he works a lot but he does not “hanker after new experiences”, in fact, change scares the bejeesus out of him. I am the one who likes change and mixing it up a bit. I multi-task. He does not.

Interesting. I think I could have been just friends with Billy. He is a good person and initially we were just friends. Looking back, it was I who pushed forward and took it to the next level.

There ya go. It was fun when we were young and it was all new. I try hard now to make it fun still. However, I don’t feel like there is any hot passion going on. I can’t say he inspires me. I’m turned off by his behavior more so than his physique (i.e. negative attitude, lack of concern for his own health, and constant lies).

This would be Billy. His birthday is June 10. He did seduce me by making me think he was different than what he is. I fell for it thinking I was seducing him. Looking back, there were so many lies and tricks he used on me. I was young and naive.

Alas, arguments will plague your relationships with those whose birth dates fall between 21 May and 1 June. This isn’t the best match, unfortunately.

Oddly, my daughter’s birthday is May 23 and we seem to get along (she is only 4 and a half though!) I like her quiet demeanor and she tests me far less than her Aries (April 16) sister.

I am thinking this analysis might have been full of hot air but it did make me think!
