Family Day & Party Night

This weekend has been really great so far. We went out as a family yesterday which is something we rarely do. We went to Sams and stocked up on some stuff, to Once Upon a Child to drop off some items I wanted to see if they’d buy and to a few other places. Then when we got home Billy actually did a project and I chilled with the girls. I had plenty of time to get ready for my party and that’s pretty much all I did after he came in.

The party was great! It was a girl I’d met last July at my friend Jaimie’s party. She wanted to do a couples party so that’s what she did.

I got to her house at about 6 pm and she already had everyone there although the party wasn’t set to begin until 6:30 pm but it was fine. They ate and drank and laughed as I set up all my toys. There were five couples there and they were all super funny people and very friendly.

It was a little hard to keep my train of thought because they were kind of rowdy and the guys asked lots of questions. The girls had to ask me to repeat things several times so the presentation took a bit longer than usual and I just left some items out to make up for that.

Everyone came into this woman’s gorgeous bedroom to place their orders one couple at a time and they all asked lots of questions but ordered plenty. The sales for the party were close to $500 and the hostess got a nice chunk of free stuff and then ordered the monthly special, too. She seemed happy and I got three parties booked from this party. They all said it was better than the other company that does these parties around here which is always good to hear.

I’m so excited about getting parties in these rich sections of town. The house was gorgeous and the people who booked parties off of hers all seemed to act like money wasn’t an issue. One couple spent $185! I think they’ll be really excited to see how fast they get their products. The hostess last Saturday got her party order on Wednesday and was thrilled with how prompt this company is.

It’s great to have some spending money that is just mine and I’m thinking that the new year will be great since I now have parties booked from January through March and a few that want to do them in April and May. January and February I’ll have parties *every* Saturday night. It’s everyone’s favorite day and I guess that’s fine and dandy since Billy’s usually home and that makes it easy for me. Maybe I’m greedy but I really want to do two parties a week so that’s something I’ll be working towards.
