Today is rainy and gloomy. I did it though. I convinced Billy to join the Y. We went this afternoon and signed the paperwork. So $119 will be deducted on February 5, 2007. That was $50 for the one time enrollment fee and $69 for the family membership. Basically we got a week free and [...]

Saturday Afternoon
Posted in Uncategorized on December 30, 2006 | 2 Comments »
This morning was nice but busy. We had to take care of Billy’s paternal g’daddy because FIL has the flu. G’daddy gets an insulin shot twice a day and luckily Billy knows how to do it. We visited and then got his groceries and prescriptions. He’s got to go back this afternoon and give him [...]
After Breakfast

I’m trying to get motivated. I’ve got 1 and a half baskets of laundry to put away – that’s all, you say? Yep! I’ve been doing laundry like a madwoman for days now. It’s finally getting caught up.
For breakfast we had blueberry muffins, some bacon I almost burnt in the microwave and scrambled eggs. [...]
What Is Today? Thursday, Already?

I haven’t decided yet where the day will take me. I am showered and Cate has been fed. Emma is still sleeping but will probably awake any second.
I’d like to go shopping. I have jeans, a bra, a sweater and a piece of jewelry I’d like to return. However, since school is still out around [...]
Busy Day

I stayed home and cleaned and cleaned and then cleaned some more. My house is livable again but the laundry still isn’t completely put away. I did make a dent in it though. I also undecorated the tree and put the stockings away.
OMG! I just heard gunshots. Must be someone hunting???
Crazy.
Ok, I called my MIL [...]
Bored

I can’t believe I just said I’m bored but I am. The girls finally crashed after I took them for a short drive to Ma and Pa’s house and upon discovering they weren’t home decided to just cruise around for a few minutes. Worked like magic. Emma crashed after a bit of whining in her [...]
This Christmas

I’m glad it’s behind us. I’ve got that worn-out-tired-and-ate-too-much feeling. The sticky buns I made for breakfast were divine. It’s been a great Christmas despite my initial doubts and lack of spirit.
Billy loved the picture I got him. He couldn’t believe it. Now I’m on a mission to find another one for his birthday (don’t [...]
Book Club Selection: The Dogs of Babel

For my little MOMS Club book club we are reading this book this month. I have to finish it before New Year’s Eve since that’s when we meet. They say it doesn’t matter if you haven’t finished it, but I don’t think it will be a problem since the book isn’t really thick.
I was first [...]
Dream

I just woke up. . .
The dream.
I was at Dani’s house. I had stopped by spur of the moment. Her house wasn’t the house I’ve been to before. It was bigger and fancier. I stayed for awhile and visited. As I was getting ready to leave, I noticed people arriving whom I did not know [...]
The Big Christmas Party
Posted in Uncategorized on December 23, 2006 | 1 Comment »
Last night Billy’s parents actually came over here (I asked) and watched our girls. We went to his work’s first ever Christmas party. The company has been around for 51 years – never have they given their employees a party. We used to meet up, a few of the guys, not the whole mill, at [...]
